Matthew J. Shattock
President and Chief Executive Officer
Matthew J. Shattock was appointed President and CEO of Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., in March 2009. As President and CEO of one of the world’s largest premium spirits companies, Shattock is responsible for a portfolio of nearly 100 brands (including eight of the world’s top-100 premium spirits brands), more than a dozen global operating and commercial facilities and approximately 3,000 employees worldwide.
Shattock is a veteran leader in the global consumer packaged goods industry with both U.S. and global business experience. He joined Beam Global following six years of leading business units at Cadbury Plc, the global confectionery company with annual sales of £5.4 billion. He most recently served as president of the Britain, Ireland, Middle East and Africa regions, a business driving approximately one-third of Cadbury’s total revenues. He also held leadership positions as president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions (2005 – 2007) and president of Americas Confectionery (2003- 2005).
Prior to Cadbury, Shattock spent 16 years at Unilever, an international manufacturer of food, home care, and personal care products, where he held senior management and brand development positions of increasing responsibility, including general manager of several multi-million dollar business units and brands. In 2005 following the merger of Unilever and Best Foods, he became chief operating officer of Unilever Best Foods North America, a $3 billion food and beverage business.
Shattock earned a bachelor of arts degree with honors from Durham University and also served as a tank troop commander in the British Army. He, his wife and three children will be relocating from the United Kingdom to the Chicago area.
Kevin George
SVP & Global Chief Marketing Officer
Kevin George was appointed Senior Vice President & Global Chief Marketing Officer of Beam Global Sprits & Wine, Inc. in September 2009.
A consumer package goods industry veteran with two decades of global business experience, George is responsible for Beam Global’s brand strategy development, product innovation and consumer insights for Beam Global’s world-class portfolio of brands, including Jim Beam®, the world’s number one bourbon, Maker’s Mark® Bourbon, Sauza® Tequila, Courvoisier® Cognac, Canadian Club® Whisky, and Laphroaig® single-malt Scotch Whisky, among others.
George comes to Beam Global Spirits & Wine following 13 years at Unilever, an international manufacturer of food, home care, and personal care products, where he held senior management and brand development positions of increasing responsibility. He most recently was vice president and general manager of Unilever’s deodorants and hair care business unit where he established the deodorant business unit as the fastest growing Unilever business in the U.S. As director of marketing, deodorants from 2003-2005, he led the team responsible for delivering the award winning marketing plans for the Axe, Degree, and Dove deodorant brands, including the launch of Axe Bodyspray in North America, which became the number one male deodorant in the market.
Prior to Unilever, George spent seven years in the spirits industry at Seagram Americas, where he held key sales and marketing positions for a number of premium spirits brands.
George serves on the governing board of the Chicago CMO Executive Summit and is an active member of the Boys and Girls Club of America. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University and Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Miami University of Ohio. He resides in Wheaton, Ill., with his family.

Donard P. Gaynor
SVP & Managing Director, International
Donard Gaynor was appointed Senior Vice President and Managing Director, International of Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., in September 2003.
Reporting directly to President & Chief Executive Officer Matthew Shattock, Gaynor is a member of the company’s executive leadership team. A beverage alcohol industry veteran with more than two decades of global business experience, Gaynor oversees all international distribution and commercial strategies and marketing operations for the company, including co-chairing the Board of Directors of Beam Global and The Edrington Group’s international sales and distribution alliance. The business alliance spans 24 international markets and generates combined sales of more than US$1.5 billion. Previously, Gaynor was one of two Beam board members of Maxxium, a €2 billion distribution joint venture and was Board Chair from July 2007 to June 2009.
Prior to joining Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., Gaynor spent nearly 10 years at The Seagram Spirits & Wine Group in a variety of executive leadership capacities, including senior vice president of human resources, chief information officer, senior vice president operations and chief financial officer responsible for international operations. Gaynor also helped to lead the sale of Seagram's global business to Diageo and Pernod-Ricard. Prior to his spirits and wine experience, Gaynor spent more than 13 years in the New York office of Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he served as an Audit Client Service Partner for several large clients and had responsibilities in human resources, marketing and communications.
Gaynor earned his professional qualifications as a chartered accountant from the Sligo Institute of Technology and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, where he is now a fellow. He also attended advanced management programs at INSEAD and the University of Western Ontario. Gaynor is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Chartered Accountants in the U.S. He is also a member of the Financial Executive International and the Irish-U.S. Council.
Gaynor has been a member of the exclusive Scotch whisky society, Keepers of the Quaich since 1997 and was inducted as Master Keeper in October 2007, a distinction reserved to honor those who have made significant contributions to the industry as a whole.

Ian Gourlay
SVP, Operations & Supply Chain
Ian Gourlay was appointed Senior Vice President, Operations & Supply Chain of Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. in August 2005.
Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Matthew Shattock, Gourlay is a member of the company’s executive leadership team. A global supply chain and procurement veteran with more than two decades of global business experience, Gourlay leads the company's spirits manufacturing, operations and supply chain function. He is responsible for production and supply of Beam Global’s wide range of spirits and for identifying effective and efficient ways to deliver the highest-quality products to customers and consumers worldwide.
Gourlay spent 10 years at the former Allied Domecq PLC where he held several senior leadership positions of increasing responsibility, including Managing Director at Allied Distilleries Ltd.; President of North American Operations for Hiram Walker & Sons; and Senior Vice President of Global Operations for the parent company. Prior to Allied Domecq, Gourlay spent 15 years in the brewing industry, most notably with Bass Brewers, in production, supply chain and commercial roles.
Gourlay holds a Bachelors of Science degree and a post-graduate diploma in brewing and distilling from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Logistics and a member of the Governing Council of the Scotch Whisky Association. Gourlay has also been a member of the exclusive Scotch whisky society, Keepers of the Quaich, since 1999 and was inducted as Master Keeper in April 2009, a distinction reserved to honor those who have made significant contributions to the industry as a whole.
He, his wife and two children reside in Windsor, Canada.

Robert Probst
SVP & Chief Financial Officer
Bob Probst was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., in September 2008.
Reporting directly to President & Chief Executive Officer Matthew Shattock, Probst is a member of the company’s executive leadership team. Probst leads the short- and long-term corporate and global financial strategy to support Beam Global’s worldwide growth trajectory. In addition to leading the company’s strategic planning and corporate development, he is responsible for all financial operations, including the accounting and reporting, systems and financial controls, planning and compliance functions.
Probst built his nearly 20-year commercial finance and accounting career leading financial operations at both U.S. and global companies. He joined Beam Global following three years at Baxter International, a global healthcare company, where he was Vice President, Finance, Strategy and Business Development, responsible for financial mergers and acquisitions for Baxter’s $4.0 billion Medication Delivery business unit. Probst was also with Diageo for eight years in a series of significant leadership roles that included CFO of Global Supply, Assistant Treasurer and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. Prior to Diageo, he spent four years at The Pillsbury Company as a finance manager, plant controller and senior financial analyst.
Probst earned a Masters of Business Administration in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Duke University.
He, his wife, Laura, and their two sons reside in Winnetka, Ill.
Keith McLeod
SVP & Chief Information Officer
Keith McLeod is chief information officer for Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., responsible for the company's global information technology systems and operations. A key function of his role is to lead the company's global business change program to augment and streamline business processes through the implementation of SAP resulting in enhanced efficiency, consistency and reporting of real time data.
Prior to joining Beam Global in August 2006, McLeod held a number of senior positions in the beverage and technology industries, including chief information officer and senior vice president for Diageo North America. While in this position, he played a leading role in a series of mergers and acquisitions, including the merger between Guinness and GrandMet that resulted in the formation of Diageo PLC. More recently, Mr. McLeod headed Elise Consulting, an independent systems consultancy, focusing on business-led IT strategy. Previous to that, he was global president & European CEO for eSkye Solutions Inc., a leading software company serving the global beverage industry.
McLeod is a graduate of High Wycombe University in Great Britain.

William Newlands
President, Beam Global Spirits & Wine, USA
Bill Newlands was appointed President of Beam Global Sprits & Wine’s U.S. business in February 2008.
Reporting directly to President & Chief Executive Officer Matthew Shattock, Newlands is a member of the company’s executive leadership team. He is responsible for growing the company’s brands and commercial sales and overseeing marketing, commercial activation, sales training and distributor strategies in the United States.
Newlands joined Beam Global in July 2005 when he was named President of Beam Wine Estates, the former U.S. wine business of Beam Global Spirits & Wine. Newlands led the top-five super-premium wine company to five-year compounded double-digit growth in profits with sales approaching three million cases annually, helping to facilitate and close the sale of Beam Wine Estates to Constellation Brands in December 2007.
Prior to joining Beam Wine Estates, Newlands was President & CEO of Allied Domecq Wines North America, where he led the company in a strategic direction that successfully expanded the super-premium spectrum of the business. He also served as President & CEO of Wine.com; President & CEO of the North American Still and Sparkling Wine Group of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy; and Vice President of Marketing at Ernest & Julio Gallo.
Newlands serves on the boards of directors of the two leading national trade associations: the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), which represents producers and marketers of distilled sprits; and The Century Council, a leader in the fight to eliminate drunk driving and underage drinking and promoter of responsible decision making regarding beverage alcohol.
Newlands earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Human Relations from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He, his wife and three children reside in Winnetka, Ill.
Kenton R. Rose
SVP, CAO & General Counsel
Kent Rose has been Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Administrative Officer for Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., since 2001.
Reporting directly to President & Chief Executive Officer Matthew Shattock, Rose is a member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for the company's legal, regulatory and external affairs strategies as well as company administration.
His previous experience includes nearly 15 years at Fortune Brands, Inc., Beam Global’s parent company, where a significant portion of his time was devoted to Beam Global's legal and business issues. During that time, Rose held several positions including Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Assistant Secretary and Associate General Counsel. Rose also worked as an Associate Attorney for Chadbourne & Parke and Day, Berry & Howard, corporate law firms in the Metro New York area.
Rose is a graduate of Lawrence University. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree at Boston University and a Masters in Government at Harvard University. He, his wife and their four children reside in Northbrook, Ill.
Mindy Mackenzie
SVP, Human Resources
Mindy Mackenzie joined Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., as Senior Vice President of Human Resources in January 2010.
Reporting directly to President & Chief Executive Officer Matthew Shattock, Mackenzie is a member of the company’s executive leadership team. As the global leader of human resources, Mackenzie is responsible for the human resources, organizational development and global communications strategies to support more than 2,500 employees throughout the world. She oversees Beam Global’s employment practices building its talent pipeline, maximizing organizational effectiveness and increasing employee engagement to drive growth in all areas of the business.
Mackenzie has extensive leadership experience in the areas of human resources, organizational effectiveness, diversity, change management and performance culture development for industry-leading retail and consumer packaged goods companies throughout the world. She joined Beam Global following five years at Campbell Soup Co., where she held various positions including Vice President Human Resources & Public Affairs for Campbell’s Asia Pacific division.
Mackenzie also spent nine years at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., in the areas of human resources and organizational development and training. At Wal-Mart, among her many roles and responsibilities, she established a training strategy for the business to accelerate the leadership and development for the company’s associates worldwide.
Mackenzie holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from Ambassador University, as well as a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She and her family reside in Chicago, Ill.
