Deerfield, Ill. – June 26, 2009 – Jim Beam®, the world’s No. 1-selling Bourbon, will present “Beam Rocks,” an exclusive concert series, on Thursday, July 2, at the RITZ Ybor, in Tampa, Fla. Beam Rocks Florida will feature The Hold Steady, a Brooklyn-based rock band that has won critical acclaim through great live performances, four studio albums and the live album/DVD documentary “A Positive Rage,” which earned a four-star review from Rolling Stone magazine. Doors open at 7 p.m. 

 

Beam Rocks Florida is the third in a series of private, VIP concerts being held in major cities throughout the Eastern United States. Beam Rocks Florida was originally scheduled for June 4 in St. Petersburg – all previously registered and/or obtained tickets for Beam Rocks Florida will be honored for the July 2 show. Registered attendance is at capacity – participants must be at least age 21.

 

Through the Beam Rocks concert series, Jim Beam brings some of the best up-and-coming bands to an exclusive setting for the brand’s biggest fans. Other shows on the Beam Rocks tour have included Galactic, which performed in Boston on May 6, and the Drive-By Truckers, which performed in Baltimore on June 3.

 

In addition to the Beam Rocks concert series, Jim Beam previously hosted “Jim Beam Rockstar Nights” at local hotspots in Boston, Baltimore, Tampa, Sarasota and other surrounding areas.

 

Rockstar Nights are karaoke-style events, hosted by Jim Beam, where patrons participated in interactive games and became the rock stars of their own live gigs. During each Rockstar Night, participants picked up tickets to the concerts.

 

Jim Beam Rockstar Nights took place in the Tampa area at The Lodge, at Evie’s Tavern in Sarasota, and at Undertow in St. Pete Beach, among others.
