A Once–In-a-Lifetime Event for Cognac Lovers Now Brought to Consumers
 
Deerfield, Ill. – September 1, 2009 – Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. [Fortune Brands, Inc. (NYSE:FO)] and Courvoisier® Cognac, one of the world’s leading cognac brands, will bring the Le Nez de Courvoisier Experience to consumers for the first time in major U.S. markets this fall. Le Nez de Courvoisier (“The Nose of Courvoisier” in French) enhances the cognac tasting experience by focusing on the sense of smell, which drives taste and creates a greater and deeper appreciation for the highly aromatic, lightly oaked and well balanced style of Courvoisier.
 
Previously, this sensory experience was exclusively presented to VIP guests who visited the Courvoisier Chateau in Jarnac, France. Le Nez de Courvoisier was first brought to U.S. beverage trade members in 2008 and will now be presented to the U.S. consumer.
 
The three-city tour of esteemed cocktail destinations in New York, Chicago and Atlanta will elevate consumer understanding of The House of Courvoisier’s unparalleled quality and uniquely aromatic style. Courvoisier national brand ambassador Stephanie Mills will guide the blindfolded participants through the Le Nez de Courvoisier aromas and identify just a few of the signature aromas in two outstanding Courvoisier marques: Courvoisier® XO and Courvoisier® Exclusif™ .
